Sony Ericsson have just announced their new phone, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 into the market place.
The Xperia X8, is what we call the in-between phone, which sits neatly between the fully formed X10 and the petite Mini.
The 3 inch Xperia X8 and will run on Android 1.6 with Sony Ericsson Timescape, which is a shame really as we were expecting it to run on the new Android OS Froyo, however we’ll see if there is an update available later on in the year.
Contrary to the rumours, the phone will sport a disappointing 3.2 megapixel camera (we were hoping for a 5 megapixel camera) and there is no news of a front facing camera as previously rumoured. Under its bonnet it comes packed with WiFi, 600 MHz CPU, 1,200mAh battery, and interchangeable covers.
The X8 is expected to be released into the market during September/October times and will cost £175 ($318).
