Amazon Kindle or ‘Shasta’ Rumoured to Include WiFi?

A couple of days ago it was reported that Amazon wouldn’t be releasing a colour version of their Kindle in the near future. Well another thing amidst these rumours is the fact that Amazon maybe introducing WiFi to their Kindle device as well as the ebook being a lot slimmer than the other current version.

The rumoured slimster, which has been codenamed "Shasta", is set to launch in August, however, the image above reveals a lot more then just it being a slim device.

The image shows the results of an internal Amazon device which focuses on entries of "Shasta" and "Shasta WiFi". So, this can only mean one thing and that is Amazon’s next reader will launch with WiFi. Now, this is only rumours at the moment but the possibility does seem likely especially as Amazon are trying to compete with the Apple iPad.

What do you think of the rumours? Do you think this is Amazon way of beating Apple off with a stick? Leave us a comment and let us know what you think…

I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
