Well there has been speculation that the Iphone will be available on Vodafone in the UK and that could be correct as a listing was found on the phones2udirect.com website. The hacked firmware has found two giveaway files called ‘Default_CARRIER_TMOBILE.png’ and ‘Default_CARRIER_VODAFONE.png’ which also suggest that it could be both or either Vodafone and T-mobile.
A Vodafone spokeman has responded to the rumours saying ‘it’s wishful thinking’. I suppose we’ll have to wait to find out.
The UK launch date is still unknown and reports show that demand in the UK is strong despite all the criticism about the performance.
