Spotify, the music service which is currently only available in Europe has announced some additional features which could make it easier for users to share tracks with their friends.
Spotify has integrated Facebook Connect which will enable you to create a profile and publish playlists. The way that it will work is by adding ‘friends’ by using the ‘Add Friend’ feature on Facebook or just simply inputting their name and sharing your music.
As well as this, ‘Playlist’ has been given a new lease of life with a counter indicating how many people are currently subscribed, as well being able to see who added what and when it was added in the collaborative playlist.
A new ‘Inbox’ feature has been included which will offer users the opportunity to send individual tracks, albums and artists to people by dragging and dropping content onto their name and any music which your friends have posted on Facebook will be viewable on Spotify too.
There are a whole host of more features which include the support for local music files, allowing to automatically replace broken links as well as being able to ‘star’ messages.
The update should be rolled out over the next few weeks however if you can’t wait until then to update then head over to Spotify to download the update now and take advantage of all the new yummy social music features it has to offer.
