iPhone 4G Protoype is ‘Confirmed’ by Apple as the Real Thing

Yesterday we briefly discussed that Apple had contacted Gizmodo asking for them to return the device to it’s original owner.

Well, Brian Lam, Editorial Director of Gizmodo has confirmed this is final proof that the lost iPhone is in fact the real prototype for the iPhone 4G.

Lam confirmed with Apple that the iPhone prototype was stolen and that the unknown person who originally found the iPhone 4G did contact Apple but Apple thought this was simply a hoax.

Also, he asked Apple to be lenient with the person who lost the iPhone 4G in the first place, as judging from past experiences, we know that when a employee from a well known large technology company accidentally leaks or misplaces sensitive information, it can lead to dire consequences.

So judging by what Gizmodo found inside the prototype yesterday, is this what we more or less expect to see from the iPhone 4G? With a couple of months lefts until the rumoured release date of the iPhone 4G I think that Apple will be working hard to include some new and different features along with the existing ones shown in the leaked prototype especially as now that the ‘cat is out of the bag’.
