iPad UK Launch Date Now Announced for Saturday 29th May 2010?

After the release of the iPad in the US early this month, the tech world have been hot on their trails for find out when we could expect the iPad to released in the UK and the rest of Europe.

Previous rumours and speculations suggested that the Apple iPad could be released on April 24th, however it would appear that news from the official UK Apple website suggests that you will have to wait a lot longer before you can spend you hard earned pennies on an Apple iPad lovely.

If you visit the UK Apple website, you will find that Apple have stated ‘Coming Late May. Pre-Order on May 10th’ compared to what we had predicted as the end of March.

Now on one hand we can sit and groan about the fact that we will have to wait yet another month before we can get our hands on the iPad, however on the other hand let’s salute Apple for putting us out of our misery and announcing some sort of date that we can add to our diaries.

So with Apple announcing that pre-orders are set for May 10th, when can we expect an official release date? Well if we follow the same pattern as the iPad release date in the US with the official day falling on Saturday, I predict that we could see the official release date of the Apple iPad being Saturday May 29th 2010. Of course at the moment this is just my prediction, however it be interesting to also see if any Apple employees in the UK have been told if there is a specific blackout period for holidays in May and whether they can back up my prediction.
