With the Google Nexus One set to be launched in the UK this month, the US have already had the delights of the using the ‘so-called superphone’ for a couple of months now.
Now you may remember back in January when the phone was released, there were complaints regarding the Nexus One’s spotty 3G connectivity and weak customer service support. However, last news we heard regarding the situation was that Google had attempted to fix the the recurring problems which had been troubling Google Nexus One users.
Well, it would seem that reports from Google’s official support forums suggest that the complaints still keep piling on with problems of unresponsive touchscreen, failed text messages and much more.
This is definitely not good news for Google especially as they are expected to launch the phone this month into international waters, which does not offer us international customers with a whole lot of confidence.
However, before you strike off the Google Nexus One phone for good, there have been rumours in the tech world that Google have been patiently working behind the scenes to iron out the problems so it is only a matter of time before we could see improvements to the Google Nexus One.
Do you have a Google Nexus One phone already? Are you experiencing problems like the ones above? If you live in the UK or around the world, will you be buying the Google Nexus One when it hits your market place? Leave us a comment and let us know what you think…

I’m in the UK with a Nexus One and it’s superb. No issues whatever with 3G. Yes, there are thousands if issues and requests raised on the forum, but there would be for any device of this type, just that it’s public with Google. The phone is rock solid and can only improve with future over-the-air updates.
If the author thinks that this number of issues is a lot, he should look at the number against products such as Windows servers, running highly critical services we all use every day.
UK users will love the Nexus One.
hello, my nexus one is coming today and i cant wait, im in the states, maryland and tmobile here has fantastic service, these problems were solved awhile ago
Live in the UK and had the nexus one imported back in Feb. Absolutely love it. I’ve had no problems whatsoever and very easy to use. In fact my 50+ mother liked mine so much she bought herself one. I asked how she was finding it the other day and she said it was the best phone she ever owned.
Even my iPhone fanboy friend has switched sides and is buying the HTC desire (almost identical) based on his experience with my phone. I’m even using the nexus one to type this.
I ordered mine on the launch day (5th Jan) and it arrived in the UK on the 8th Jan. I suffered lots of problems with the touchscreen activating the softbuttons below the screen when I was about 3/4 the way down the screen(scrolling or typing). I had my phone replaced under warranty through HTC UK (Milton Keynes) and have had no problems since. I noticed that the Touchscreen version on the original was SYNT0103 (hold scroll ball while powering up the phone to see version info) and the replacement (problem free) one had SYNT0102 so it looks like a hardware problem but there are other SYNT0102 users still with touchscreen issues. Google’s support forum thread on this issue hasn’t been updated since the 30th Jan and there are well over 2300 posts talking about this issue. Some mention WA (WrapAround) where the screen gets confused with the users palms touching the screen but I’m pretty sure it’s hardware as I haven’t changed how I use this one. All in all it’s a cool bit of kit that makes a worthy replacement to my old Voda HTC Magic.
Had my Nexus one since February, imported from US to UK and its been fine ever since, never had an Iphone to compare it with but it really is impressive!
