iPadDownload.com up for Sale on Ebay for $1 Million

iPad news is heating up and it is not only the influx in pre-ordered iPads which have made us think that the iPad could be this year's most wanted gadget. It would appear that domain names containing the word ‘iPad’ are also being bought and sold quicker than ever.

So how much would you expect to pay for iPadDownload.com? Well the domain name has been listed on an ebay auction with a starting bid of a staggering $1 million!

Now, we're not too sure how relevant this domain name could be especially as you can only download apps from the Apps Store.

However it will definitely be interesting to see what it could be used for because to pay over $1 million for the domain, the website had better make the owner some serious money to give them a good return on investment.

  • Domain Dude

Does the registrant of this domain understand U.S. trademark law and the penalties that can be imposed from trying to profit from someone else’s trademark? Apparently not!

    What a moron.

  • I sure hope this guy gets his asking price. If he does I might too. I own many ipad book download sites. It will open up in the future. I hope!

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
