It's all fair in love and search engines as T-Mobile have announced that they are ending their one year exclusive deal with Yahoo and replacing it with Google. So what does this mean? Well every time a Blackberry user visits the T-Mobile portal, it will be Google's search engine showing at the top of the screen instead of Yahoo.

However, all is not lost with the Yahoo and T-Mobile relationship as a Yahoo spokesperson did confirm that although they would be giving Yahoo the brush off in terms of the search engine exclusivity, other services such as Yahoo Mail, Messenger, News, Sport, Finance and Flicker would still remain.

For Blackberry users, unless they are avid Yahoo fans and are adamant on using that search, I would think that most users are most likely to opt for the most accessible search engine which would be Google, however what do you think? Do you think it makes a difference to users if a network operator offers exclusivity to a certain search engine on their handsets? Leave a comment and let us know what you think?

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
