Philips has now introduced the new Green Tick logo which allows consumers to easily identify products that have significantly better energy efficiency than the nearest competitor products in the same category as well as having other environmental benefits.
Seven of its flat TVs now display the logo and that will be doubled to 14 by the end of the year. Pressure continues to grow on electronics companies to become more enviromentally friendly. There will be many more companies to do this and most companies should start by having a proper off button rather than a stand-by button.

This is true for most people. Most people want to be eco-friendly but for the most part at least currently sometimes going green is not financially a good idea.
