With the rumoured release date of the iPhone 4G looking likely for the summer, more speculation keeps flying in regarding the supposed specifications of Apple’s next generation phone. As you will all probably be aware of by now, one thing which the tech world always seems to cling on is their excitement of any Apple patent which is revealed. So what is it this time you might ask?
Well, in the filing entitled "Apparatus and Method for Compensating for Variations in Digital Cameras," it discusses the quality of the current cameras found in the iPhone and iPod models and details of how to improve these cameras in future models, however what is most interesting is the picture below which has been taken from the patent.
It would appear that you can see Apple considering a front facing camera for its handsets which could mean a possibility for Apple's next generation phone, the rumoured iPhone 4G.
I am sure all of us will agree that a front facing camera will be more than welcome on the next iPhone, as it will allow the possibility of video conferencing and taking self portrait shots however I wonder how much of these rumours we should take as gospel.
Well, firstly I think there is a possibility of a front facing camera for the future, but I am not too sure how likely this could be for the iPhone 4G, especially if there could be a possibility with history repeating itself. Remember when we thought that the Apple iPad, which was released in January would include a camera but to our disappointment it didn't? I am not too sure if I could handle another disappointment so for this one I am going to wait on more confirmation before I set any expectations of a front facing camera for the iPhone 4G.
Do you think there is a possibility of a front facing camera for the rumoured iPhone 4G? Is this a feature which will push you to buy the iPhone 4G? Leave us a comment and let us know what you think…

i think it looks totally awesome!!!!!!
Is this an old patent? or is it for the iPod rather than the iPhone? I ask, as it has a scroll wheel at the bottom instead of a home button.
off course, Front facing camera may be come in next issue or iPhne4G, It is very helpful for the user for conferencing, as the time is being costly day by day, people want to except more convenient technology. As Apple already create a different concept and user group in the Mobile Market. And they are 100% successful.
This time iPhone may create more awareness.
