Apple are in the spotlight again, however this time it is for their iPod range of products. Apple has revealed that one of its next chapters in Apple’s next generation in iPods could include the ability to watch and record HDTV.
News of this has come about after US Patent & Trademark Office published an Apple patent application yesterday which consists of iPod Nano’s radio pausing and tagging function but also how Apple could also be looking to integrate that function to TV.
Apple’s patent suggest that the next development stage of the iPods could include the ability to watch and record television on the move. There is hope that this will include radio, television, satellite TV, music services and internet streaming.
So how will the HDTV function operate on the iPod? Well, Jack Purcher reports for Patently Apple that, ‘with the iPod Classic, you’ll use the scroll wheel to turn the channel and the larger media players will have a virtual dial with a more elaborate interface”.
