Christmas Gift Guides 2009: Top gifts for the other half

Christmas shopping should be just starting to encroach onto your ‘to do’ list. Over the next few weeks I'll continue to be showing you what you should be buying for various different loved ones. This week- what to buy your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband or wife"¦

1- Philips Sensual Massager

A long day running round preparing the Christmas meal and making sure that the relatives don’t get into any more boxing matches will take it out of a person. So this gift is great for a relaxing evening. Get some massage oil, lay your lady down and let the massager do all the work while you get all the credit for being so caring. Win. I’ve promoted photo keyrings on Gaj-it before, but they haven’t lost any of their appeal. This little beauty holds 8MP worth of photos, so thats about 100 photos that your girlfriend/ wife can carry round and whip out to show people at any time without having to fiddle round finding the right place on the mobile phone. 4- Your Last Rolo

Wanting to give her something cute but meaningful this year? Well do you remember the ‘Do you love anyone enough to give them your last rolo?’ campaign? I sure do. And now your loved one can be presented with your last rolo cast in sterling silver and laid in a beautiful presentation box. It’s sweet, it’s completely useless, but as far as the the thought counting goes then it’s totally awesome (any you get to eat the chocolate version all to yourself for the rest of your life).

5- Microwaveable Hot Boots

This is what I’m asking for for Christmas. There’s no end to the microwavable products available this year- soft toys tend to be readily available- but personally I’m always looking to keep my feet warmest and sticking Pinky the Pig down there just doesn’t feel right. With these boots, warm and toasty feet as she sleeps are a definite (a shoe in, one might say!). And besides- she’s got you to cuddle for warmth hasn’t she?

5- Man Flu Rescue Kit

Just as it comes time to wash up after Christmas dinner we all know what will happen. ‘Ooh I feel- I’m off to have a lie down’. The poor mites. Man Flu is a million times worse than Swine Flu and we ladies should be treating it as a serious disease. This emergency kit contains an ice pack for his poor head, a pad of sick notes for his poor boss, and a thermometer for his poor mouth (although I bet that’s not where you’ll want to stick it after ten minutes playing nurse…)
