StarBucks Gives Free WiFi To Customers in its Rewards Programme

StarbucksStarbucks UK is now offering free in-store Wifi to its customers, providing you are a member of their Starbucks Card Rewards programme.

The free Internet access has come about because of a new agreement between Starbucks and BT to deliver BT Openzone high-speed wireless broadband at more than 650 Wi-Fi enabled Starbucks coffeehouses throughout the UK and Ireland.

If you are not a Starbucks card holder and neither do you want to be one, there are other ways to get net access at StarBucks WiFi enabled stores. Access is already available if you are one of the around 4.8 million BT home and business broadband customers or an O2 iPhone user.

To be eligible for the free WiFi you need to sign-up for a Starbucks Card and load the card with £5. You can join the programme online by registering at www.starbucks.co.uk. The free WiFi will automatically apply for existing registered Starbucks Card holders.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
