We recently reviewed the new LG Black Label Chocolate and were impressed with the practical wide screen integrating nicely with a huge amount of sex appeal.
If you too were impressed enough to go grab yourself a Chocolate (phone, not Twix bar) then you may just have taken a bite into more than you bargained for.
LG’s HQ has been in touch with us to let us in on its Chocolate hunt. The guys at the top are looking for 5 specific handsets (identifiable by serial number) to award the owner of one of them with a “massive reward”.
We’re not sure exactly what’s in store for one lucky Chocolate owner, but we’re pretty sure it’s going to be more impressive than the biggest egg you’ve ever found on an Easter Egg hunt.
It’s also a bit more in-depth than wandering around the yead with a big wicker basket, as this Chocolate search is worldwide. If nothing else, LG is certainly being ambitious!
The 5 lucky serial numbers in question are:
802KPAE821224
803KPBF578597
803KPXV578330
803KPVH578503
803KPJP923836
If you’ve got one of these handsets, then LG want to know. The owners will be announced on 8 October, 2009.

Maybe they’ll win the warehouse where the phones are made. Chocolate Factory anyone?
The jokes are just too easy.
I actually think this is a great marketing gag. I actually read this post on another forum where people started to make up al kinds of reason why LG would want these 5 LG Chocolate ‘s back. Maybe because they had secret LG blueprints on them or because it would show the Google algorithm. The goal of the LG marketing department was getting people to talk about the LG Chocolate and they succeeded in that. The 5 lucky winners receive a Chocolate and there was also a reward of 10000 Dollar (I guess those 5 phones will never be found…..)
yes, it might be right but nobody knows. but only 5 serial number in the world? it is almost impossible.
This must not be an average Chocolate phone, but maybe a limited gold line?
If they put out an advertisement, it must not be a regular Chocolate phone. Why, a few years ago they had limited sales of the Chocolate phone gold line. Since it was a special edition, it must be scarce even to LG. If the phone they find is the gold line, then the probability that the winner will be from China is high because they love the color gold.
hmm so is the chocolate 4 out or not?
