Nintendo Wii – Pre-Order now and join the Christmas craze

Last Christmas the Xbox 360 was the most desired Christmas present for the gadget enthusiasts. Playstation have delayed the launch of the PS3 console (priced between £325-£500 depending on model) to March and therefore the Nintendo Wii will definitely be the most desired gift this Christmas. The Xbox 360 was selling £150 over the retail price as demand soared. Will the same happen with the Wii this Christmas?

I think it will be the case especially as it’s the cheapest of the latest consoles. Therefore probably best to pre-order the console now alternative you may end up camping outside your local comet. Its great value for money as it offers:

  • Motion sensitive remote control style wireless controllers, one of the most hyped features of the system. Connect to the console using Bluetooth. The control has a speaker, rumble feature and has an expansion port.
  • WiiConnect24 – permanent internet connectivity, even if users do not play with Wii.
  • Virtual console – Wii will have downloadable access to 20 years of fan-favourite titles originally released for Nintendo 64, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and even the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
