Word is out that Apple plan to launch a new range of iPods in the merry pre-Christmas month of September, so if you’re not sure what to get the girlfriend this year, start telling her that her current iPod is out of date now.
Our recent post on the new iPod Touch and iPod Nanos being kitted out with cameras looks set to be justified. Apple is expected to include point-and-shoot cameras to its new line of iPods, but there’s no word on exactly what to expect.
Speculation is rife though that the company will take a leaf out of the iPod 3G S book though, and install a 3.2 megapixel snapper on its new range. If so, the new cameras may also include the same video capabilities as the 3G S.
There are also rumours that the new iPods will have a much greater memory capacity, which would be needed if you’re going to be doing some Spielberg-like antics with your music player.
The new iPods are expected to be announced on September 9, when more word on iTunes 9 will also come to light.

I had seen the new apple ipod nano 5g model, and it is really attractive. The updated nano is that bit more advanced with a few new features, particularly for many the ability to record a quick video, easily, will be attractive.
