The YouTube XL service has now come out of beta and is available to access via PS3, Wii or any internet capable PC.
After 6 months in beta status the YouTube XL service that has been providing PS3 and Wii owners with hour after hour of YouTube vids has finally shaken of the shackles of its beta status and been opened up to a wider audience.
YouTube XL has been designed to give a lightweight version of the full YouTube site that is optimised for showing videos on the large screen.
As well as providing easier access for non-standard devices such as the PS3 or Wii, YouTube XL will also provide access to basically anything with a web browser.
Normal YouTube functionality may not be present throughout the site yet, but it is early days, with the most notable omissions thus far being a lack of high-quality/HD videos.
What it does offer however is to play back all items continuously from the search results of whatever it is that you were looking for.
