As if there weren’t enough sensationalist headlines around already, the whole world now appears to have gone Swine Flu kerrazzy so it’s little surprise to hear that quick thinking app development company IntuApps should have its Swine Flu Tracker on the iTunes marketplace in two shakes of a lamb’s pig’s tail.
The app is designed to track the spread of the virus across the globe and will keep users abreast of current World Health Organisation threat levels and recommendations, as well as pointing out hotspots that are to be avoided, all courtesy of a handy Google map.
As well as providing statistical and geographical data the Swine Flu Tracker app will also provide top news stories as well as practical information and facts to help stem the spread of the disease.
It’s currently going through the Apple approval process but the makers hope that it will be available in the next few days as long as there are no major hiccups. No word on whether it will be free or paid-for, but we’re imaging it will be the former, or at least very cheap.
Keep you’re eyes on the iTunes app store or check out the creators, IntuApps, for more information.
