If you didn’t want to take our word for what the new LG Arena handset can do, then we’ve got something that will help you make your own mind up about the iPhone alternative.
We had a chat with LG at the Gadget Show Live last week to bring you a video demo of the handset so you can see for yourself how all of the features fit together in one nifty package.
The Arena comes with a 5 mega-pixel camera that features Auto-Focus, 4x zoom, face tracking, image stabiliser, continuous shot and an LED photo light. All this equates to great photos no matter how long you’ve been in the pub for.
It comes with 8GB of memory and a MicroSD memory card support of up to a whopping 32GB which will come in handy for storing pictures, video and music. Speaking of which, the Arena uses Dolby Mobile which is as close as you’re going to come to surround sound on a phone.
But enough of the stats, let’s take a proper look at the Arena to see if you’re as impressed as we were.

Looks a nice phone… just all starting to look the same now I guess. I wonder if the internet on the Arena will actually work properly..?! I’m sick to death of my Renoir totally shutting down whenever I access the net on it! Not happy and it’s kinda putting me off LG!
I’ve had an Arena for a few weeks now and haven’t had any trouble with accessing the internet. It’s proven to be much more reliable than the Sony Ericsson Xperia which started to crash daily after I had that for awhile.
I think all phones are prone to hissy fits. My partner has the Experia and has nothing but problems with the internet – has a mind of it’s own and turns itself on, often for hours overnight! I think as phones become more and more advanced, it hightens the risk of errors, bugs and unreliability. Maybe one day we’ll see the perfect phone!
