Gadget Show Live Video Exclusive! LG Future Mobile Phones – LG Viewty Smart (GC900), Crystal (GD900) and Mobile Phone Watch (GD910)

As we were at the Gadget Show Live Event on Friday, we thought it would be rude not to visit the LG stand to see if they had any exclusive new gadget goodies which they might have wanted to share with us. Now, although their stand was fully promoting the LG Arena phone, which we have done a lot of coverage on already, a small section of the stand was focusing on some of their upcoming mobile phone releases, so like any self respecting gadget fanatic we had to have a peek and also show you what LG had in store for us all in the next coming months.

At the stand we managed to speak to LG about these new phones, their features and their planned released dates. However, before we got any further, LG did stress that these are under embargo at the moment however they did reveal some very interesting pieces of information which we had to share with you all. LG Viewty Smart

First up, was the step up from the very popular and stylish LG Viewty. Dubbed named as the ‘Viewty Smart’ or the GC900, this stylish successor to the LG Viewty certainly fit in with all the fashion credentials of a typical LG mobile phone. Although, the details from LG were a little sketchy, they did speculate that compared to the LG Viewty mobile phone, which had a 5 mega pixel camera, the LG Viewty Smart would have an 8 megapixel camera. They also stressed that to keep in with the Viewty concept they would be concentrating on phone photography, which will include all the smart features you would expect to get in a digital camera. When asked about a potential release date, we were told that this would be in the next 2/3 months.

LG Crystal

The next phone which they showed us was the GD900 Crystal, which is the first phone of its kind to have a clear and see through touchpad. This is particularly an interesting feature for multimedia enthusiasts or web surfers which allows you to pinch and to pull and zoom in and out, making it a multifunctional pad which is see through. What was interesting to hear was that the Carphone Warehouse would have an exclusive on this phone and would be released again in about 2/3 months.

LG Watch Phone

Last but not least was the GD910, which is also known as the LG Watch Phone. This James Bond style gadget had to be my personal favourite of the three and has already gained some positive responses within the tech world! Sporting a crystal clear glass front, this classy watch phone would definitely look great on your wrist. So apart from us being wowed for its attractiveness, did this watch phone also have the features to match? Now, although LG had told us that prices and other details had yet to confirmed they did go into detail about the 3G mobile phone functionality. As the watch phone is a 3G mobile you are able to have a video call with someone. Now one of the probing questions from a lot of people was how would you talk to people using the watch? Well LG did state that in terms of having conversations on this phone, the mobile phone watch would require you to also have a bluetooth headset in your ear to respond and to hear calls. The proposed release date for this 007 style watch is in 4/5 months time so I will definitely be watching this space to find out more!
