Today Nokia announced that three new music phones will hit the shelves soon along with the arrival of new Nokia Music Stores and more Comes With Music launches.
The Nokia 5730 XpressMusic, the Nokia 5330 XpressMusic and the Nokia 5030 are the new arrivals and Nokia expect these “to go to the top of the charts”. Nokia also believe that by expanding their music range to a few different target groups, they are changing the way music can be enjoyed by all. Heres a little info on the new phones:
Nokia 5730 XpressMusic
The Nokia 5730 XpressMusic is Nokia’s first attempt to wield a music-optimised device with a full QWERTY keyboard. The backbone to this new music device comes at the homescreen for XpressMusic, giving access and all the information needed on friends, games, emails, calendar and of course music.
The phone also has a 3.2MP camera, bluetooth, FM radio and ‘Say and Play’ music control.
There is a music shortcut which takes the user right to the music that is stored on the device as well as to the all-important music store into which Nokia have put a lot of effort. Also there are dedicated gaming keys which makes the 5730 a true N-Gage machine.
The Nokia 5730 XpressMusic is expected to hit the shops sometime in the third-quarter of 2009 for an estimated retail price of 280 EUR before subsidies and taxes, making it around £260. The phone will be available in red, monochrome, blue and pink.
Nokia 5330 XpressMusic
Looking odd but funky the Nokia 5330 XpressMusic is a slider with a sliced-top design and in-built illumination effects. Nokia are saying that this is the phone to keep you in touch with your social network whenever and wherever you are. It’s XpressMusic keys are found on the side of the display to give you instant access to all your music.
The built-in Nokia BL-4U battery will give you up to 26 hours to enjoy your music, and with a 3.2MP camera with 4x digital zoom and flash you wont be unable to enjoy taking pictures and shooting videos. Nokia’s new Ovi Share interface will also allow you to enjoy your favorite social networking sites at the touch of a button.
The Nokia 5330 XpressMusic is also expected to be available in the third-quarter of 2009 for an estimated retail price of 160 EUR or about £150. The phone will be available in black/ red or silver/ blue.
Nokia are also keen to improve your listening experience on the go with their new variety of accessories. One product that fits perfectly with this phone is the bluetooth stereo headset BH-504 that has recently started shipping, these give high quality audio with powerful speakers, echo cancellation and noise reduction to only the highest level.
Nokia 5030
With this phone, it is Nokia’s first attempt to put an internal FM radio antenna in a phone, which eliminates the need for a headset or external speakers. This phone is therefore part of the XpressRadio range rather than the XpressMusic range. Nokia say that the need for an ‘on-the-go’ radio is in demand as this is most peoples source for entertainment and news and this phone certainly delivers that. The listening time is up to a day which is shown off by its powerful loudspeaker.
This will become one of Nokia’s most affordable devices to offer FM radio, as it has an estimated retail price of 40 EUR before taxes and subsidies, which is only around £36….bargain. The phone is expected to be available in the second-quarter of 2009 in the colors of graphite and red.
