Still don’t get what this whole recession thing is about? If you’re on the market for a new Mac, today may just be your lucky day. Rumour has it that no less than six new Macs including a new Mac Mini and iMac will be released by Apple today.
There will be four brand new iMacs with three of them featuring a 24-inch panel while the fourth will be an entry level 20-inch display model.
The two new Mac Minis also stretch the spectrum as they will be available as either an entry-level model or high-end version.
If you’re a model number kind of guy, these are what we can expect some time today according to Hardmac:
iMac
MB417: Entry Level model
MB418: Mass Market model
MB419: High-End model
MB420: Ultimate model

While the specs of these new Macs are a bit cagey, it is rumoured that they will include Core 2 Duo processors with 2GB of DDR3 memory for the Entry Level model with 4GB for the rest. They will all support up to 8GB of RAM and come with a Mini DisplayPort connector.
Mac minis will be equipped with five USB ports, FireWire 800 and Mini DisplayPort. They will either have 1GB or 2GB of memory depending on the depth of your pockets with hard drives will either be 120GB or 320GB.
Nvidia graphics will also be a staple of all new models.
It’s thought as soon as the official announcement is made that these new Macs will be ready and available for purchase, so get your credit cards ready.
