Naruto wannabes unite! Decorate your fridge with Throwing Star magnets

Throwing Star MagnetsNinjas are eternally fascinating. They’re just so much cooler than any of our Western alternatives will ever be (Pirates Vs Ninjas? Please- the Ninjas would win every time, no matter how hot Johnny Depp makes Pirates). And our need for all things Ninja is at an all time high with the success of recent video games and certain animes. I even have a ninja tattoo (it’s a theatre thing- long story!) so Ninja addiction is very real and very here.

Unfortunately, most of us can’t pull off stalking around in black with our faces covered, and carrying a katana is likely to get you thrown in prison, so how do you express your Ninja alter ego without looking daft or making friends with the boys in blue?

With Core 77’s Secret Throwing Stars Magnets of course. They’re exactly what it says on the tin. Powerful magnets shaped like Shuriken. One prong has its tip chopped off so that when attached to any metal surface they appear to be piercing it as if you’ve just be in a dual with the Ninja Sensei himself.

Ok, so when you stick your weekly shopping list up with them the illusion of your secret double life is spoilt somewhat. But that doesn’t stop you making up an outlandish story about the time you were surrounded by Ninja in your very own kitchen with only your bread knife to defend you and your faithful dog to help you see those black clad foot soldiers off into the night. With such a ‘souvenir’ your friends may actually believe you. The very drunk ones anyway.

You get two Secret Throwing Star Magnets in a set, and the box is nicely decorated with a classic Ninja theme. I wouldn’t recommend trying to actually throw them at your fridge, just in case, but there’s nothing to stop you getting a pair and shouting random gibberish as you mime throwing them then karate kicking your way around your kitchen.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
