Facebook Attire: Wear your Status on a T-Shirt

Facebook has started to move from the online sphere into real life.  Now you don’t need to log-on to tell the world how you’re feeling or what you’ve had for lunch; instead just take your sweater off.p2240046

Status King have created the Status T-Shirt which allows you to wear your status loud and proud. It may not be Ted Baker material, but it is a piece of clothing that’s uniquely you.

We went onto the Status King Facebook Application page to try this out for ourselves and I have to say this was much easier than when I tried to make a shirt in high school home economics. I also ended up with two even sleeves.

To see your wit on a shirt, just click the “Make a T-Shirt” button on the Status King App page and fill in your status of choice. You do need to make sure you’re happy with your current profile pic as this will also appear on your shirt (you may want to change that one of you boozing it up at last week’s Friday night drinks).

I wore my shirt out on the town on a shopping venture and can confirm that if you want to feel like the centre of attention, this needs to be part of your ensemble. I had a number of people on the high street trying to subtly look at my genius status which resulted in more guys turning their heads to look at me than I’d ever had before. Result!

p2240048Each shirt costs around £14 (USD$20), but if you’re hilarious enough, every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday someone is crowned the “Status King” which means they get their shirt for free. Much more stylish than a heavy old crown! To check out what constitutes a Status King, check out the list of past winners.

Postage for my genius-inspired shirt was pretty quick considering that it came from the US to the UK.

If you need inspiration for your shirt, there is also a list of top statuses on the Status King page which will either make you laugh-out-loud or cry.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
