A misguided April Fools Joke? Nope. Coronation Street on a console near you soon!

Coronation Street!!!I kid you not fellow readers, it seems that publisher Mindscape is to release a video game version of the famous UK soap, Coronation Street.

A DS version has so far been confirmed, but it has been mentioned that a Playstation and XBOX version are in the works as well.

Bad news I am sorry to say, it will not be the famed zombie version that has been going around the Internet, that allows you to batter Norris around the head with his own legs.  Nor will in involve a quest line that includes Rosie Webster, a wet T-Shirt and…..well you get my drift.

Instead you will be treated with an adventure and task-based concept set within the theme of the famous fictional street.

Personally I'll be giving this one a miss but the acclaimed Ken Barlow Half-Life spin-off would be something to keep my attention, if only it were not another rumor making its rounds on the net.

  • It’s a shame, what a good Idea it would be to have the ability to make the characters fight.
Ken Barlow having Blanche in a head-lock, or being able to fly a plane over the street bombing the houses below! Lets face it, it’s a street, but they seem to cram their own little town into it.

Coronation Street is mainly aimed at the “Older Generation”, and as we know, the “Older Generation” don’t play games consoles. By the time it takes them to get the hang of it, hey-up (As Rita would say).. They’ve brought out a new model.

I suppose someone out there will be going to buy this, and if you’re that person, and you’re reading this, please do tell what if it was worth the money!

    Then again,.. Please don’t!

I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
