Sony Ericsson today officially announced the launch of the new C903 Cyber-shot.
The C903 is a slim, slider handset with a 2.4inch (240x320pixel), scratch resistant, TFT display. It weighs 96 grams with dimensions of 97x49x16mm.
It has a 5.0megapixel camera with autofocus, flash, 16x digital zoom and image and video stabilizer, for great quality piccies and vids. Camera features include Photo Fix, Picture Blogging, Video Blogging, Smile Shutter, Face Detection, Best Pic and Snapfish.
"The C903 Cyber-shotâ„¢ adds a creative and stylish mobile phone to our mid-range segment." said Daniel Sandblom Global Business Marketing Manager at Sony Ericsson. "The C903 Cyber-shotâ„¢ furthers Sony Ericsson's digital camera heritage and makes capturing special images even more memorable."
The handset has GPRS and Edge connectivity, with internet access via the Access NetFront browser. Also included are web feeds, photo feeds, Piscasa and Flickr.
Along with the usual SMS, MMS facilities, there's also instant messaging - yes, not that unusual; however with the handset lacking 3G or WiFi, I'm unsure how productive this messaging facility will be.
It has A-GPS with Google Maps and geo-tagging for photos. It also features Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, an accelerometer for auto-rotation of the display, a TV-out port and a USB port. The Li-Po battery will give you 480 hours of standby time and a talk time of 8 hours.
As for entertainment, the phone features a media player with TrackID and MegaBass, supporting MP3/AAC audio files. There's also an FM radio with RDS, support for video streaming and a YouTube app. The handset also features Java with 3D and motion gaming.
Other standard features include an alarm clock, calculator, calendar, tasks… yep, the usual.
The handset comes in Lacquer Black, Techno White and Glamour Red and will be available in Q2 this year.
