Motorola has teamed up with Sprint and Boost Mobile to announce the new Motorola Stature i9.
The Stature i9 is a slim flip handset (claimed to be the thinnest iDEN flip phone) measuring 15mm with a touch sensitive exterior. It has 2 large, crisp screens and external keys for quick access to applications.
It features haptics feedback and Motorola's ModeShift technology allowing the exterior keys to change and illuminate depending on the user's current application.
The Stature i9 has a 3.1-megapixel camera with flash, autofocus and video recording. It also features a music player as well as Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and GPS connectivity
It has an 8GB internal memory with the option of expanding this via microSD slot. Talk time is 255 minutes and standby time is 79 hours.
The Stature i9 will be available from all Sprint Nextel channels by the end of February for $199.99 (with a two-year service agreement after a $50 mail-in rebate). It will be available sim-free from Boost Mobile for $299.99.
