World’s most expensive phone….£1.6 million pounds!!

A handcrafted 3G iPhone designed by Peter Aloisson is laying claim to the title of the world’s most expensive phone with an eyewatering value of £1.6 million pounds. Let’s hope you have SERIOUSLY big sofa cushions to check under.

Peter Alloison, the man responsible for modding the Nokia 6300 Gold Edition and Motorola V3i amongst others, has gone all out on this one creating a crown of jewels for the king of the touch screen mobile market.Diamond encrusted iPhone

The otherwise standard iPhone sports a line of white gold running around the perimeter of the casing, which is itself encrusted with a total of 138 high-quality cut diamonds. But the pièce de résistance is the Home button that features a rare 6.6 carat diamond.

Clearly not a man considering the effects of a sharp economic downturn, this 3G iPhone creation is just the latest from Alloison continuing on from the then-record breaking $1.3 million dollar diamond smartphone created for Russian encryption specialists JSC Ancort at the start of last year.

OTT? Without a doubt. But we thoroughly look forward to seeing just what we get next time he exerts his specialist blurring of the lines between art, technology and fine design.

  • Give me 3!)))

  • Not the best economic climate to launch such a phone! Look a little to bling for me.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
