Sharp have announced 2 new clamshell handsets for the Chinese market.
It was a somewhat surprise announcement really, as we’ve not seen a GSM handset from Sharp for a while.
The SH1810C is slim with a stainless steel body. It features a 3inch TFT WVGA display (854x480pixels) and an unusual column-style external display. It joins in with other top range handsets with an 8megapixel camera. The camera has a CCD sensor, flash and video recording at 30fps. This tri-band handset features a 6-axis accelerometer and has GPRS/Edge connectivity.
The second handset is the SH6010C. It features a 3.2megapixel camera, has a 2.6inch TFT display (400x240pixels) with a small extermal monochrome display. It is a 12.9mm thick flip device, again with a stainless steel body and with the option of five different colours; pink, blue, black gold and silver.
