UK retailers have started pre-orders for the Playstation 3, although the console has already been released in the US the release date in Europe isn’t until 7/03/2007. If you want to make sure that your one the first to get one then you’ll have to get your pre-order in early.
The price of the console is a shocking £549.99 at Play.com.* but this isn’t unexpected as it contains a Blu-ray player allowing you to watch 1080p HD movies which if bought seperately would cost approxiately £1200. Playstation 3 is a powerful next-generation console with a 20 or 60 GB hard drive, a Wi-fi net connection on the 60 GB, a HDMI port (not available on any of the other consoles), a sixaxis controller and more.
