Microsoft to head into the PC antivirus software market"

It seems that Microsoft has finally understood the importance of good Anti-Virus software and that without this critical piece of software your PC will soon become as useful as a damp match in a dark room.

Anyways I rabble, back to the news story so it seems that Microsoft might soon be opting to offer free Anti-Virus software rather than the subscription based version it has now in an attempt to help keep users of their operating system virus free.

But with other companies already having offered this service for years like AVG for example, it might be that Microsoft have missed out on a potential market that is always growing an expanding.

On the other hand however how many times have you been over to a friends PC and noticed that they have no virus protection whatsoever?

Maybe if Microsoft bundle this new service in with the next generation of operating system without the user having to know about it whatsoever it might save people like me and you allot of time as we will no longer have to keep going round to your Nan's house due to her computer virus.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
