The Blackberry Bold 9000 will be hitting our shelves very soon and has been causing a definite frenzy within the Blackberry world.
With its stylish black exterior, stain chrome frame and leather-like back plate, this Blackberry has oozes of good looks and with super intelligent features to match, it is no wonder that this is a must have gadget amongst any Blackberry loving fan.
Under its exterior, this quad-band phone comes complete with an impressive 624 Mhz processor and is the first blackberry that supports tri-band HSDPA high speed networks around the world. With integrated GPS (check out our forum on Mobile Navigation Software), to show off its navigation skills and WI-FI(802.11a/b/g), giving you fast download speeds and quick emailing, the Blackberry Bold is definitely an all rounder. To top it off, it comes with a 128mb flash memory, 1GB on-board storage memory and a micro SD memory card slot capable of being expanded to 4GB, allowing you to download all of word, excel and power point files and edit them on the handset using the preloaded Data Viz Documents to-go suite.
And just when you thought the Blackberry Bold was all about 'work and no play’, by adding a 2 megapixel camera, with built in flash and 5x digital zoom, which can also record videos as well as MP3 player, this smart little thing just got fun as well!
If you want to sway away from the Apple iPhone 2.0 rush then I think this is definitely one phone which you should cast your eyes onto. But beware, with this phone there is no shying away from doing work or replying to emails even when you're out of the office.
you can check out the official Blackberry Bold website here
So talking contracts, on the Vodafone network you would be looking to pay £5 a month on an 18th month contract for unlimited emails but if you were to get it on Pay as Talk then emailing and the internet would be out of the question.

Blackberry=business users. Iphone= general consumers. I’ve seen iphone, and personally i don’t think for the normal user anything can compare to it. Ok, the the camera is slightly lacking, but besides that its the coolest gadget currently available on the market. The Blackberry will always appeal more to the Business user.
Black berry for business is just a hype. More general people started using blackberry mobile phone.
I think you’re right there suheal. The Blackberry will always appeal to business users as it is a more functional and practical phone, probably used during business hours, whereas the iPhone is an all rounder and includes fun as well as serious features.
I’m sorry Suheal and GadgetGirl I’m going to have to disagree with you. I think the blackberry is a great business tool, However it is no longer just for the business user. With the introduction of fun features (camera mp3 player 3G etc) and funky colours, the blackberry is now available in pink, red, blue and gold, it’s appealing to more and more people. I think the celebrity blackberry spottings have helped raise the profile and are a major reason why many younger people are opting for blackberry’s, the likes Paris Hilton and Brad Pitt showed blackberrys can be cool. On the other-side there is the older generation that prefers a full QWERTY keyboard.
The I-phone only comes in gloss black and silver (not including the I-phone 2.0 which would have a ‘matching coloured plate’, you can check out what smacpettit says about the I-phone on this site as well), while the I-phone does have the ’ooo shiny’ quality its basically an I-pod touch that can make calls. While other smart phones, including blackberry’s look nice but are also packed full of features to help you work and play.
cool…
