Vodafone are joining forces with Dell to help promote their Dell Inspiron Mini 9 Netbook – a mini-laptop with Wi-Fi and embedded mobile broadband. This is the first of its kind in the UK and is great news for people on the go, who need fast reliable broadband connection without the hassle of connecting it to a dongle. The broadband speed is one of the fastest mobile connections on a model such as this (up to 7.2Mb/s) and is exclusively only available from Vodafone. As well as this, it has a 8.9″ screen and weighing less than 1kg the laptop is definitely something we would classify as petite.
Now it would be no fun if Vodafone and Dell left it as this… Instead, to promote the launch, Vodafone have given an Inspiron Mini 9 to a person they’ve nicknamed LiveGuy. He will be travelling around various parts of the UK, testing out the Netbook but leaving little clues in his location. Now, here’s the most important bit so listen carefully…Every day he’s out, he will be holding up to 3 Inspiron Mini 9s to give away to any lucky person who comes up to him and says his magic phrase, as well as a fourth will be given online. The fun has already started as the LiveGuy tour this Monday so that means he is well on his travels. Before you miss out you can check out how he gets on via his blog at http://FindLiveGuy.com/ as well as Twitter (http://twitter.com/vodafoneliveguy) and YouTube (http://uk.youtube.com/user/VodafoneLiveGuy).
