LucasArts rumored to make 100 more people redundant!

LucasArts it seems may have to let go of more of its employees after they have completed all their hard work on LucasArts new Star Wars game, The Force Unleashed is due to be released soon and after that the company is planning to outsource more if not all of its projects to other companies. The producer of LEGO Indiana Jones and LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, Shawn Storc was also laid off.

Rumors are flying all around the internet from staffers that have already been given the ‘boot’ by the company, and with most of these surrounding ‘money’ and ‘differing philosophies’ it does not bath LucasArts in a very good light at all.

Does this mean the end for LucasArts? Rumors from these ‘staff’ also have been that with the more and more people getting the ‘boot’ the company will be left with more work than they can handle, so we will have to wait and see what will happen to this developer of great games such as Escape From Monkey Island?

Only time will tell

  • I really enjoyed the Lego Indiana Jones game, well the demo that I’ve played so far.

It’s a shame to think that Lucasarts might be going down hill, but that has been happening for a while in my opinion – I remember back in the 90s when you could be guaranteed that any Lucasarts game was going to be great!

They should bring back some of their better games such as Monkey Island!

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
