While Apple is still mourning the departure of its founder, Steve Jobs, it is also carrying out its usual work, albeit a bit silently. Apple has just updated its MacBook Pro series and has installed them with faster processors and bigger hard drives.
Apple has updated its entry level MacBook Pro with a 2.4 GHz dual core Intel Core i5 CPU, while keeping the price at the same level of $1,199. This entry level MacBook Pro now also features bigger 500 GB hard drive. While the more sophisticated version of MacBook Pro now comes with 2.8GHz dual core Intel Core i7 processor, its hard-drive has been upgraded to 750GB capacity. The price, again, has remained the same at $1,499.
The company has also fitted its 15 inch laptops with faster processors and better graphic cards. These laptops now come with quad core i7 processors, where the low end MacBook Pro comes with 2.2 GHz processors, whereas higher end MacBook Pro boasts of 2.4 GHz clock speed. This laptop will also come with AMD Radeon HD 6770M with 1GB of GDDR5.
Apple MacBook Pro 17 inch models will now have 2.4 GHz quad core Intel Core i7 processor and a massive hard drive of 750 GB. The company is also offering an upgrade to 2.5 GHz quad core Intel Core i7 processor for $250, while you can upgrade your RAM to 8GB for $200.
