While Android Ice Cream Sandwich is likely to make its debut in October or November this year, Windows Phone 7.5 aka Mango is going to beat Android by debuting in September 15. Though, the news is still unconfirmed but the rumors emanating from Windows Phone Dev Podcast team do have some credibility attached to them. Also, it is not the first time that Sep. 15 has been mentioned as the probable launch date.

However, it seems unlikely that the users will get to taste Mango on Sep. 15. In case of previous minor update, NoDo, the date of upgrade varied greatly from one phone to another, depending on the network and manufacturer. So even in the case of Mango, it would be probably developers who will get to the use the upgraded version. Let’s just hope that this time Microsoft does not run into OTA upgrade problems the way it did with NoDo.

Meanwhile, Samsung has announced its Windows Phone 7.5 device in the form of Samsung Focus S. The phone comes with 1.4 GHz processor under its hood. It has capacious 4.3 inch Super AMOLED screen. The phone is also 4G compliant. Focus S also features 8 MP rear facing camera whereas its front facing camera is 1.3 MP. Samsung has also introduced yet another WP 7.5 phone, Samsung Focus Flash, which has considerably smaller screen at 3.7 inch. Its camera has also been downgraded to 5 MP. Both these phones are expected to hit the market in fall season. Other major phones which are expected to run on Windows Phone 7.5 include HTC Titan.

I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
