Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and Galaxy S II Go 4G LTE Way

Samsung has spruced up its Galaxy S II smartphone ahead of IFA. The phone now boasts of 4G LTE and the same deluxe treatment has been extended to Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 as well. However, it's not just the 4G connectivity. Both the contraptions have also received some other boost ups as well.

Samsung Galaxy Tab and S II both now have 1.5 GHz dual core processors under their hoods. Earlier Galaxy Tab had 1 GHz processor while S II had 1.2 GHz processor. And while the Tab is going to maintain its proportions, it looks like S II will gain 0.2 inches more and will sport 4.5 inch of Super AMOLED Plus screen. S II will run on Gingerbread platform and will also flaunt an 8 MP camera.

Galaxy S II can also be used as a personal Wi-Fi hotspot. And you can use it to connect to up to eight devices over Wi-Fi. This feature will help in fast and smooth sharing of files and updating.

Samsung Galaxy Tab, on the other hand, is petite at 8.6 mm thickness. Samsung is going to use its TouchWiz skin over Honeycomb. Samsung seems all gung-ho about LTE, with its President and Head of Mobile Communications Business, claiming, "LTE redefines the user experience made possible by these devices and opens entirely new possibilities in terms of content viewing, sharing, quality and connectivity."
