Samsung Galaxy W to Hit UK Markets Next Month

Samsung may be embroiled in bitter court fights with Apple, but it is still working on its new products and is buys launching them. The case in point is Samsung Galaxy W, which is all set to be launched in the UK next month. Samsung entered into a carrier partner deal with Three network for this purpose.

Samsung Galaxy comes with 1.4 GHz processor and runs on Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread platform. Under its hood, it packs 4 GB of internal memory. Its WVGA Super-LCD touchscreen is 3.7 inches and thus provides ample of screen real estate. Add to it 5 MP camera and you have got yourself a spanking new phone. Apart from this, it has usual bells and whistles such as video-calling camera with 0.3 MP resolution, GPS and Wi-Fi.

The phone also supports Samsung's Social, Music and Game Hubs and has pretty powerful 1500mAh battery, which is expected to give talk time of up to 18 hours. Its stand by time is expected to be 530 hours. The phone also offers Bluetooth connectivity and microUSB support. Three UK is currently featuring the phone on its 'Coming Soon' page.

Samsung also unveiled a couple of other phones while releasing Galaxy W. The other phones are Galaxy M Pro, Galaxy Y and Galaxy Y Pro. Galaxy M Pro comes with a QWERTY keyboard whereas Galaxy Y and Galaxy Y Pro are entry level smartphones aimed at younger crowd.
