Nintendo has been in the gaming world for more years than I can remember now and believe me those years are starting to add up :-( so with my love of anything Nintendo I have to go as far to play tribute to those people who must love Nintendo as much as me and tell you all about some of the whacky inventions they have come up with. - Bejewelled wedding
I think the girlfriend might actually kick me out of the house if I do anything like this, however it appears one Nintendo enthusiast proposed to his girlfriend by using a hacked version of the game of the same name on the DS, where the puzzle represented an actual engagement ring. Who says romance is dead eh? A DS and a wedding proposal, lucky girl. I wonder what the wedding ring looks like?
- TV remote sensor bar
Now this is something I can’t get my head around, how cool would it be to turn your actual TV remote into a Wii sensor bar, no longer would you have to worry about losing the thing every time you moved the tele a fraction of an inch to plug that spare lead in. Plus it will be even better when your mates notice that the bar is nowhere in site while you're playing bowling, it might actually get my in-laws off the thing so I can have a go while they search for it, muhahahaha. - Mushroom Sweets
Now I am not talking about those Mushrooms you find up in the mountains, I am talking about true sweets like the ones you can buy in any sweet shop. While being hard to find here in the UK they are apparently available in the US, the Nintendo shop by any chance? Anyway they come in a rather iconic mushroom tin that unfortunately does not transform you into a giant when eaten but will mean a very painful death so we advise you open the tin and eat the sweets instead, but we have also been told that these taste like carpet fluff and sawdust glued together with saccharine so the choice is yours.
- Nintoaster
It was only a matter of time before someone did this, but rather than an episode of Stargate SG-1 where a stargate was made out of a toaster it seems that someone has turned the everyday house hold appliance into a fully working NES console. I’ve played Super Mario Bros. 3 that many times that I could probably play the game in my sleep so this seems like a cracking gift for any Nintendo obsessive. - Guitar Hero DS Hack
If your the best at Guitar Hero on the DS and want to show off even more then you will love this nifty little hack. By putting the DS handheld into a spare PS2 guitar you can actually play the game using the guitar while looking at the DS screen that will be embedded in the guitar itself. A quick warning however as this may give you severe neck cramp so only do this at your own risk. You can find the guide here, happy modding
- NES Necklace
Want to give your partner something special this Christmas? Then how about a NES necklace, not only does it look stylish and hip (look at me using the cool words, word?) but it also expresses to your special someone your love of video games and the all time classic console that started it all off will be on display for you on your new found love. - Korg DS Music
Still can't make your mind up if you should spend your hard earned cash on Korg Music that was released for the DS some time back? Well for all you budding music enthusiasts out there here is a site that has a collection of music that has all been created by this DS software. If this does not help you to make your mind up then I don't know what will. Some of the tracks don't a sound that bad, but who knows maybe we will be seeing some of the latest DJ’s in the clubs with a set made from this.
- Monster SNES pad
Ready for some Blue Peter style design, well you to can create this giant of a SNES pad from nothing more than a few sheets of MDF and some paint. It also helps to have some rudimentary knowledge of electrical engineering. Your final product however will be a fully functional SNES pad. You can find the guide here from yet another Nintendo fan. - Toad’s Theme
Normally Toad is overlooked in most Mario games; maybe it's the fact that they spend all their time in cupboards or any other place they can hide in. Indie band The Mountain Goats (strange name) seems to be firm fans of the walking Toadstools having written a song that takes it perspective from the Toad’s point of view. The song is called ‘Thank You Mario But Our Princess Is In Another Castle’ and can be listened to here

Fed up of those bags Tesco keep giving you to save on your plastic bag wastage. Well now you can get some to keep you in style, made entirely out of old T-Shirts it shows your love for everything gaming, you can have a look here
- Post-it Snorlax
This is one for every Pokémon fan, not only will would be able to remember all those little job with these post-it notes, you will also be able to ‘catch em all’ with these Pokémon styles post-it’s. Of all the Nintendo characters we can think of the last we thought of was Kirby, but it seems that the pink thing has a few fans out there thanks to this creation by a fan unknown. - Wii Remote Sweets
Just when parents were coming round to the idea that the Wii is a fitness tool as well as a fun gaming console someone comes up with this idea. It looks like a Wii Remote but looks can be deceiving, press the B button on this remote and you will be rewarded with a sweet, perfect for all you in the closet sweet crazies out there. Just make sure you don't use this when playing on your Wii or you might be rumbled.
- Starfox Video
With the huge success of YouTube it was only a matter of time before someone did a rip of the legendary Starfox game we all know and love from the 1990’s. It's a little bit corny with the story revolving around a pair of students trying to find the cash for their student flat while taking up the roles of the Fox team. The scenery leaves allot to be desired, I think those of you with a cleaning disorder might be wise not to watch this as you may get the urge to find them and clean their flat for them……..or was that there plan all along. - Mega Man Goodies
With it being the 15th anniversary of the Mega Man franchise, Capcom has released some promotional items to celebrate the event. Only problem is there are only available in Japan but you can always look at the pictures, these can be found here
- Cupcakes
Coming in both a Mario and Luigi option, these cupcakes will brighten up your day…….only thing is it looks like they are both drowning. Maybe it's a design fault lets just hope they taste better than they look. This guy is the creator of the hugely popular game boy console back in the days. To begin with it was black and white but the handheld started it all. In a fitting tribute to the man himself a paper doll has been designed, you can even make one yourself with the template available here all you need are some scissors and a keen hand.
