Google+ Crosses 15 Million Mark: Wins Favors from Corporate World

Google has finally got it right with Google+ and the new social networking venture is now on its way to breach 20 Million users mark. Currently, the subscription for the network is hovering around 18 million. On 14th July, the company CEO Larry Page had announced the breach of 10 Million mark and since then the network has added 8 million new users.

Google has grand plans for the network and integrating it with all the Google services is one of them. The company expects the popularity of the network to surge after such integration. This is the long term planning. In short term, Google is looking to improve male to female ratio on the site. Currently, the site is mainly testosterone driven. Google is also looking to increase the number of posts per day.

Google+ is not only becoming popular among individuals but has also gained some favor from corporate world. Dell recently said that it is planning to use Hangouts for interacting with its customers. According to Dell CEO, the new method of keeping in touch with customers is likely to be very helpful in troubleshooting. Michael Dell posted on his Google+ Page, "I am thinking about hangouts for business. Would you like to be able to connect with your Dell service and sale teams via video directly from Dell.com?” So, What do you say?

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
