Angry Birds to Hit Another Milestone: Going 3D

Massively popular game Angry Birds has many records to its credit and now it is setting up a new precedent. The game is now all set to hit the market in all its 3D glory. And if you are an ardent Angry Birds aficionado, then you might want to consider swapping your existing phone with Optimus 3D phone later this year, since this LG phone will be the first one to bring birds and pigs in all their 3 dimensions to you.

However, the 3D game would be just the regular game with an additional dimension thrown in and is likely to be available from October this year. The parent firm Rovio is obviously keen on cashing in on the craze. According to a statement released by the company's CEO, Rovio has conducted several talks with various studios for turning the game into a movie, however, later, the company decided to go ahead with an in-house production of the movie. Though, the game has been featured in another animation movie Rio.

Angry Birds has been downloaded 6.5 million times on iOS while its free version has been downloaded 11 million times. Rovio is also looking to turn the game into cartoon series and we already have seen Angry Birds plush toys. The company also stated that the YouTube video of Angry Birds trailer garnered more than five million eyeballs.
