More iPhone 5 gossip is making its way round the tech world as a job posting for Apple sales staff suggests that the new iPhone 5 could be with us as early as August.
The current thinking was that the new handset would be released in September - but this job listing seems to suggest otherwise.
Spotted by the eagle Pocket-gamer it mentions that the campaign for increased sales staff goes on until October, with applicants having to do 4 days training in London – possibly to be trained on the new handsets.
The listing, posted by UK recruitment agency Reed, covers a slew of areas across the UK and seems to specifically be targeting workers to look after iPhone concessions in larger department stores.
The date has led to speculation that Apple is looking to launch the iPhone 5 on or around that date, falling weeks earlier than its much-mooted September release date. It had been assumed that Steve Jobs would use his annual iPod keynote to tout the next-gen handset.
According to the latest rumours Apple will only make minor alterations in the next refresh of its iPhone handset. It’s thought the new iPhone 5 will include the new A5 processor and according to the new reports not a lot else. Leaving the unique selling point for the handset the new iOS 5 operating system.
Personally August sounds a little early to us, it could be that they plan to give their new staff plenty of time to get used to must-have blower. We’ll know more soon.
