Get Ready for Ice Cream Sandwich Phone: Brought to You by Google and Samsung

Rumors about the next installment of Google Nexus just got a little more interesting. A few days back, it was reported that Google is working on the next generation Nexus phone, which will come equipped with LTE technology and now good people at BGR.com have solidified the rumors by claiming that Google would be collaborating with Samsung for making this Android 4G dream a reality. With this Google has also re-affirmed its faith in Samsung. The internet search giant had picked Samsung for its Nexus S phone, while it had collaborated with HTC for the original Google Nexus.

The third iteration of Nexus, which is expected to be named 'Nexus Prime' will be loaded with features like 720p resolution display. It is likely to have OMAP4460 processor from Texas Instruments under the hood. And it will come with a bowl full of Ice Cream, ok, not literally but the phone would run on Android 4.0 platform aka Ice Cream Sandwich. The phone is also likely to do away with physical buttons.

Google is also said to be working on releasing multiple Ice Cream Sandwich phones, though Nexus Prime is expected to be the first one to arrive on the scene. The other companies Google might be collaborating with include the usual suspects such as LG and Motorola.

I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
