Samsung finalized the date for its 10.1 inch tab, Galaxy Tab 10.1. The tablet would hit the market shelves on August 4, 2011, so you still have to wait for over a month to lay your hands on the device. There will be a simultaneous launch for 3G and Wi-Fi version, in contrast to the staggered one we got to see in the US. The tablet's Wi-Fi version went on sale in the US at the beginning of this month. However, the 3G version has yet to make its market appearance.

The tablet will be launched with a sparkling range of accessories like such as multi-media dock, keyboard dock and leather bags. The 3G version of the tablet will have quadband compatibility and thus will be able to work on 850/900/1900/2100 bands. It will be able to give you a maximum download speed of 21 Mbps, however, the actual browsing speed will depend on the network used by you.

Samsung Galaxy 10.1 packs 1 GHz dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor under its hood and is quite petite with 8.6 mm thickness. It has dual camera where the front camera comes with 2 MP resolution, the rear one has 3 MP. It is also able to record and playback 1080p HD video. Just like iPad 2, the tablet will come in white as well as black color. Samsung Galaxy 10.1 weighs more 565 grams.

Samsung also confirmed that 8.9 inch Galaxy Tab is also likely to enter the UK markets later this year. However, no confirmed date has been provided.   Samsung also did not disclose the pricing of either tablet.
