US May Get Unlocked iPhone This Wednesday: Sorry, No MacBook Air Refresh

Oops, Internet messed up again. The day started with rumors about the new MacBook Air, courtesy Chronic Wire. Though, Chronic Wire has damn good record of previous accurate rumors, but this time, the things got a little mixed up and the part numbers which were actually related to unlocked iPhone, were wrongly construed as MacBook Air parts. So, long story short, Chronic Wire has rectified its mistake and now claims that Apple would be granting unlocked iPhone to the US market on this Wednesday and that MacBook Air refresh needs to wait for some time.

The news may not be big one for the UK iPhone enthusiast, since they already have access to unlocked phones, but it is going to be fresh breath of air for the US users, who so far had been restricted to AT&T and Verizon. So, if you are in the US, then you do not need to head to eBay for unlocked iPhone. If things go well, then very soon, you will be able to get shackle-free iPhone officially.

The part numbers, which caused the  initial mix up, are MC603 (16GB, Black) MC604 (16GB, White) MC605 (32GB, Black) MC606 (32GB, White). Well, we are pretty sure there are scores of users out there who are disappointed that there won't be a new MacBook Air on Wednesday, but the new rumor is definitely equally exciting. Chronic Wire has not given us any clue about the pricing of the unlocked phone, but rest assured, excellence does not come cheap. You might want to start checking your bank balance now.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
