We've seen a lot of hacking recently, first Sony, and now the Wii. There's obviously a Hell of a lot of basements filled with laptops, textbooks and anger. But a true prankster should know, there's nothing better than taking your resentment to the streets. Scroll below and you'll find something to draw out a nice little Monday afternoon chuckle.
What's so funny, you ask? The building sporting the giant Windows logo is the new Apple store in Hamburg. Apparently some pranksters posed as construction workers in order to pull the stunt at the cities second Apple store (which is due to open at the end of Summer.) It was no moonlight prank either. The whole thing unfolded in broad daylight. The 'construction workers' cordoned off the street, put up a ladder and painted the logo without any resistance.
But their success was short lived. Apple workers were quickly sent to remove the logo. But why a Windows logo in the first place? If you're having a joke at a the expense of Apple surely a penis, Steve Jobs in a clown mask or an offensive message would do a better job, or is that just me? Painting a Microsoft logo seems a bit too, ‘politicly motivated’, do you think they construction workers were paid? It's all a Microsoft conspiracy!
Jokes aside though, imagine a big company employing small time crooks and pranksters to damage the reputation of rivals. Maybe Microsoft paid for the Sony network problems. This would make a great film!
