iCloud Music Service Free Trial Offered: Will You Be Willing to Pay the $25 Per Year After?

Everyone has been talking about the Apple iCloud Service recently and in true Apple fashion everything has remained very tight lipped about it. However, it certainly hasn't stopped the rumours flying about regarding the service.

It has been suggested that the Apple iCloud Service will allow you to scan your music collection and mirror it in cloud and possibly in a higher quality format.

With current rumours that Apple has signed up to its last major label, Universal this is certainly good news for Apple as they have the 'Label' backing which similar competing services from Google and Amazon don't have. It is expected that Apple will share 70% of the iCloud music revenue with the label and 12% of this going to music publishers, which allows its remaining 18% to be used to keep the running of service in tip top condition.

However, how are they expected to fund this venture? Well, Apple are certainly not going to dip into their pockets and offer the service for free. It has been rumoured by LA Times that the service could cost $25 per year for the service.

However, to provide some goodwill to their users Apple will offer it iTunes users an initial free trial with the view that the service will then cost them $25 per year. It certainly sounds like a good incentive to get the idea off the ground, however I wonder how much of us will be committed to pay when the free trial offer runs out?

I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
