Asus Eee Pad MeMo is not new but it has just got a new identity, a 3D one. So, if you are looking to have some 3D fun, then this is the tablet for you. The best part is that you do not need to don those goofy glasses. The tablet comes with a glasses-free 3D IPS display which makes glasses free 3D experience possible. Further, the screen is stylus friendly too. So, you do not have to remain dependent on your fingers for working on this tablet. However, it would need special capacitive stylus. This feature is especially useful for creative artists as it provides more precision.
Asus has also assured that this 7 inches tablet will have broad viewing angle so that you do not have to adjust it often. There are a couple of 3D tablets floating around in the market, but the glasses free tablets are still a novelty item. Asus did not provide many details about the tablet, except for touting its USP of being 3D, but it looks like that the tablet will sport Android Honeycomb. The tablet's petite size also underscores the latest trend of the tablets going smaller and smaller. On the other hand, mobile phones are getting monstrous with their 4+ inches screen. Very soon, we are going to have a phone or a tablet for every size between 3 to 10 inches. Amen!
Asus has not provided any availability date. It also did not offer any clue about the price of the tablet. So, keep watching this space for more updates about Eee Pad MeMo, as and when they arrive!
