Samsung vs. Apple feud is getting worse and worse, though we are happy that it has not affected their business relationship. Samsung is one of the most prominent parts supplier for Apple. However, this relationship has not stopped Samsung from fighting back. The company has now filed a motion demanding that the Cupertino company hands over facsimile of its "final, commercial versions" of upcoming iPad and iPhone. If the motion is accepted by the court then Apple will have comply with the ruling by June 13th of this year.
Samsung's demand is mostly retaliatory in nature. Apple had made the similar demand and was granted the permission by a San Jose Federal judge. Under the ruling, Samsung is now required to provide the samples of its products to Apple. The access comes with a caveat though. Apple engineers would not be allowed to see the prototypes and only outside counsel will be allowed to check the devices. Looks like Samsung will be able to obtain the permission on similar conditions.
Apple had recently accused Samsung of copying the aesthetics of its iDevices. Apparently, the Korean giant's Galaxy series irked Apple with its sleekness. The scuffle resulted in Apple filing a patent infringement suit against Samsung. However, Samsung did not take it lying down and counter-sued Apple. Well, the fight is still on and Samsung will be handing over prototypes of its Galaxy tab 8.9, Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy S2, 4G LTE Droid Charge and Infuse 4G to Apple.
